Use Cases and Deployment Scope

With Conga CPQ, we are able to now configure, price, and quote our outsourcing solutions directly within our CRM. For use cases, CPQ helps us with pricing, volume discounts(if any) and region specific service. The workflows are now automated, which has helped to save a hefty amount of valuable time.

Pros

  • Great at providing a directions at configuration. Reducing errors and saves time.
  • CPQ handles intricate pricing logic without manual calculations quite well.
  • The integration with Conga CLM is remarkable and provides strong results.

Cons

  • I've seen some performance lags while handling heavier carts or items.
  • I would be really happy to see some new visual and aesthetics updates.

Conga CPQ is a superb solution for buisness handling complex multi regional pricing models. Especially, with CLM, it's a great solution.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Conga CPQ and Billing to configure pricing for Home-To-School bus routes transporting students from home to school and back again. We also use it to price shuttles and field trips. We have integrated Conga/SF with dispatch system via MSAzure to bring in daily usage quantities. We batch up all the quantities at the end of the month to create a monthly invoice for our customers. We also use Conga and SF for reporting to give insight back upstream to our bid/pricing team to standardize pricing/offerings where possible.

  • Controls in billing - e.g. don't allow a due date that is prior to invoice date
  • Support - we find that our implementation/use of the product is very different from the core use cases

Conga CPQ is flexible in the price setup. We achieve a lot of customized pricing setups using CPQ. Usage flowing into billing works well also.

The Conga cart is a huge painpoint for us. We bill each route and trip we run individually so we have a very large amount of manual, complex cart configuration.

I use Conga CPQ for quote and contract management. I use it for commercial proposals for both domestic and international customers. It helps streamline configuration and approval processes. Our business requirements can be complex. Conga helps to simply the process, including template usage, which saves time. It also allows for easy reporting.

  • Stores information for easy access

Cons

  • Opens certain pages in a new page, this an be confusing to new users
  • maintains previous pricing in the extended price section while maintaining the list price section

Likelihood to Recommend

Conga CPQ works well with the approval process. It easily allows us to customize our requirements based on the function. For example the approvals for a quote are different when adding custom items, as well as the approval process for Contracts with firm fixed pricing. It has all the functions required to allow cross department needs. NOP for Finance purposes and Concession calculations for Contracts are a few examples.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Conga CPQ to interface with our CRM solution to create quotes on behalf of the sellers, identify upsell opportunities, and drive the discounting and approval process and allow our sellers and business partners to create quotes themselves. We have eliminated hand-offs within our process, simplified workflows, and been able to maintain our own data models while utilizing Conga CPQ as the engine to price, quote, and allow sellers to update quotes real time.

  • Additional features and function to support large quotes.
  • Solutions requiring custom code are not user friendly

Conga CPQ is well suited for those that need a simple solution for managing price books and price lists. It does a great job, but struggles at scale on the salesforce platform. We have seen that the Advantage platform is bringing significant speed increases and scales better so we have high hopes that it will be the solution for larger scale deployments

We have build several CPQ applications from scratch but the versalitiy and rich products with Conga provides are just great and should be used for growth and success of the customers

We utilize Conga CPQ to manage our sales process. It's our way to manage our products, configuration, pricing and quotes. We are slowly growing to also add in the contract lifecycle as well.
