Expensify makes my life much easier, when travelling for work I don't worry anymore about keeping receipts, reviewing claims and keeping my overall expensing life in shape. Expensify makes it all so much easier by allowing me to expense on the go whilst away. I've had previous experiences with other expensing tools and none are so hassle free.

No expensing tool is perfect, but expensify takes the hassle of expensing out of the frame as much as possible. It's smart features make sure I input minimal data and it gets my expenses right. It really makes me focus on my travels and work instead of doing manual labour.

I highly recommend Expensify! I work for DEPT® Agency, a global company, and when I worked in the UK, I was lucky enough to use Expensify for both approvals and submissions of expenses. Now I work in Spain and use it only for approving expenses of my team (and sadly, I am forced to submit my own expenses with a Google Sheet which is time consuming and often very delayed because of the administrative headache!) Expensify ensures expenses are organised in a consistent way, validates data with the receipts, identifies questions / errors / missing data - ensuring approvals can be done with minimal effort. It has alerts and notifications as well as automatic submission of completed receipts each week so that employees are paid regularly for any work related outgoings.

When you are travelling, the app is accessible and easy to use, meaning every receipt is easy to log in real time. No data is lost, no risk of misplacing a receipt and minimal admin time to ensure work related outgoings are returned in a timely manner. From an approvals process, all the information I need to approve expenses is available for efficient decision making.

I have been an Expensify user from the service's early days. My reason - I was a miserable failure at timely expense reporting, a critical barrier to getting paid. The Expensify process made it easy and nearly painless to go from the moment of the expense to creating a form that was professional and easily audited. The result compressed my time to completion from one of my most hated tasks to the easiest part of creating invoices fory client work. When I added project partners the next level of complexity was made even more simple.

For the road warrior and independent consultant, Expensify excels. Automatically reads receipts and completes entries. Expensify continually works to improve the service to push the edge of the envelope when it comes to making expense reporting as painless as possible. For me it has been an enormous leap in productivity.

We use Expensify for reimbursements and expenses within our company. This has taken away the need to constantly submit expense reports and receipts to our invoicing team. The ease in which submitting a reimbursement takes is absolutely astounding and a real game changer compared to other reimbursements apps/programs that I've used in the past for other companies/organizations.

Occasionally, the reply after you submit your reimbursement request can be confusing as to whether it was actually submitted or not

I have yet to run into a bad experience with Expensify. I have used other programs and Expensify, by far, exceeds them all. The elimination of needing to constantly collect paper receipts, upload photos of them and inputting all the information is incredibly efficient. I haven't encountered a store/situation that it hasn't auto-uploaded/captured the receipt for my reimbursement. They have just made everything efficient and user-friendly. Very straight-forward.

We use Expensify for company cards and generating reports. It automatically generates the receipts so I do not have to track down the paper copies. The website makes it very easy to log and categorize the purchases and submit my reports for review. Then it makes it easy for my manager to review my reports and submit. Highly recommend.

Adding an option to talk to a person when openining Concierge. The AI is really good, but is still limited.

It is easy to compile expenses, submit them for approvals process, and also to modify and edit expenses that I need to categorize. It is easy to work with the process with workflows and adjust if I wrongly entered something. Then if there is any questions from my manager it is easy to fix and resubmit.

I use Expensify a few times a year, for travel expenses. This tool makes expense submission easy and the tool itself is user friendly. For me, it is laid out in a way that makes it practical to use in creating expense reports and getting through the submission process without issue.

My expenses are pretty straightforward, travel expenses for meals, hotels, transportation, etc., so for what I use Expensify for, it is straightforward and easy to use. I can't imagine it being any harder for any expenses needing to be submitted.

Expensify is a pleasure to work with and the number of team member complaints about challenges around expense reporting have greatly diminished since we implemented this solution. It is intuitive, high performance, low amounts of downtime leading to lost data entry complaints. It has nice AI and Agentic AI features allowing team members to embrace AI within the platform and increase their productivity

I am an end user and I use Expensify to track and submit my work expenses. Having the ability to create and submit my expense reports on my phone via the App makes things quick and easy. Uploading receipts directly and using the SmartScanning technology to categorize and create my reports takes a lot of the work off my plate. My expenses are approved quickly by my managers because the approval process is so easy on their end.

Pros

Quick and easy receipt uploads and tracking.
SmartScan of the receipts takes most of the guess work out of the process.
Being able to create and submit expenses on your phone via the App or online on your computer gives me the flexibility I want.

Cons

I would like to be able to merge multiple receipt images into one single image directly on the App.

Likelihood to Recommend

Expensify is very versatile and can meet the needs of the more casual user, as well as those needing more complex solutions. I like the mileage tracker built into the App using mapping technology. It makes getting paid for my travel and driving miles much easier and foolproof. Many of my employees do not regularly submit expense reports, and Expensify makes it easy for them.

I originally started using Expensify because I needed a fast way to scan receipts and automatically convert foreign currencies to euros. As a frequent traveler for work, I’m constantly dealing with expenses in different currencies and exchange rates, and doing those conversions manually is a headache. Expensify has made that process much simpler. I can scan a receipt; the amount is captured automatically, and the currency conversion is made right away in clear expense reports that I attach to client invoices. They often comment on how professional they look.

Cons

the search fields - when typing into them, there is a lag
there are automatic notes that appear at the bottom of the report that cannot be removed
it takes a bit of time to understand the UI

Likelihood to Recommend

Very well suited for frequent travelers who work on a project basis: these expense reports are prepared quickly and sent to clients. This is especially true if you travel to many countries with different currencies. If you don't have a US or Canadian bank account to match the receipts with and want to do that, this app is not the one for you: it doesn't offer a connection to European banks, for instance.

Great Solution For Employee Expense Reports

We use it primarily to collect employee expense account data and receipts and to thereby generate monthly expense reports. All employees immediately enter their expenses and download their receipts. This makes it extremely convenient for the employee and the expense reports generated are top rate. Expensify replaced a manual ststem that was prone to error and unreliable.

Cons

Settings are an issue at times. The workspace user can be inadvertently switched at times causing big problems when the employee tries to submit an expense report.
Adjusting the date of an expense is often a problem if you don’t press save.
Making changes to previously submitted expense reports cannot be accomplished on the mobile app, only online.

Likelihood to Recommend

Great for capturing expenses and receipts. Great for generating reports. Clunky and confusing to change settings.
