IntSights is an all-in-one external threat intelligence and protection platform, purpose-built to neutralize threats outside the wire. According to the vendor, it is the only solution of its kind. IntSights solution suite's goal is to equip cybersecurity teams worldwide to more effectively detect, assess, and mitigate threats externally from the source, well-before before they reach the perimeter.

IntSights founders are veterans of elite Israeli military intelligence units, where they acquired a deep understanding of the hacker mindset, as well as the most effective techniques to defend against it, according to the vendor. The vendor reports IntSights serves enterprise clients worldwide across a vast array of industry verticals, including financial services, retail, entertainment, healthcare, pharma, high-tech, manufacturing, oil and gas, and many others.

IntSights is a Rapid7 solution since the July 2021 acquisition.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use IntSights Cyber Intelligence, from Rapid7 primarily to display all our systems in one single 'pane of glass'. We've done this so all our teams - Security, Operations, Dev, DevOps, Network and even project Management can have unhindered visibility of all systems. It allows us to make decisions much more quickly and effectively. Also, it creates better team working synergies and better brainstorming when it comes to resolving issues and being proactive in avoiding scenarios that may appear. With the displays we get concise information in a bespoke format, and comprehensive information is available by going deeper into each field to so we can conduct different aspects like root cause analysis and trend and behavioural analysis. The main focus of Rapid7 products is Vulnerability Management of course, but with IntSights we are seeing the benefits of the management of application security as well, scheduling of tasks/activities, trend analysis and so much more.
