Centralized Compliance Related Training and Content.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use this tool to show compliance with internal and regulatory requirements. We use it across different subsidiaries. We have various regulatory and compliance requirements and we need a centralized platform where we can prove training/awareness and adherence to those requirements.

Pros

Providing default training/awareness modules that can be customized.
Tracking user compliance to various legislative and industry standards and regulations.
Wide range of content in different formats and delivery methods.

Cons

The modules are not region or country specific.
The content tends to be generic.
Lack Content that is highly customizable and AI integrated.

Likelihood to Recommend

Suited for starting the compliance programme and also if the organization is not yet mature. This gives a good baseline and best start. In addition various industries are covered and as a diversified company with various subsidiaries this is ideal. However, for niche compliance requirements in specific geographic regions this may need more work.

We use KnowBe4 Compliance Plus as a complement to our security training. It replaced a substantially more expensive but inferior product.

Pros

Excellent production value.
Always updating the course catalog.
Adding new topics regularly.

Cons

Subtitles don't seem to work on customer-uploaded SCORM.
Easier distribution of PDFs within the LMS.
More customization on hiding individual pages of training.

KnowBe4 Compliance Plus is wonderful when it comes to updating content. With our previous compliance training, we had been watching some of the same videos for 10+ years. We're in a high compliance industry, so I appreciate the large selection of videos.

We use the KnowBe4 Compliance Plus tool to train and make aware of critical issues our team members on Harassment issues in the workplace. Some business pain points were to get a tool to support the Human Resource team to plan and assign harassment training modules to team members with a little team and this tool has helped greatly.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Since we deal with Federal and State government we need to be as compliant as possible. KnowBe4 Compliance Plus helps us to train employees to spot phishing emails along with insider threats, and PCI compliance. With KnowBe4 Compliance Plus we actively test and train users as to minimize our cyber risk. I also believe our cyber insurance company appreciates that we utilize KnowBe4 Compliance Plus to help minimize risk.

Pros

Interesting content
Easy to use dashboard
Record keeping for user failures is very usefull
Being able to split employees into different groups for different trainings

Cons

Maybe adjust your pricing structure so not everything is an add on
Another Season of Man on the Inside
Availability to download some trainings so that we can add them to our Payroll portal.

Likelihood to Recommend

Although most of are users are fairly good about spotting phishing and not sending PCI unencrypted we hire and train new people all the time and KnowBe4 Compliance Plus takes a lot of that off our small IT department freeing us up for other tasks. As bad actors evolve KnowBe4 Compliance Plus seems to keep up with new and innovative content thus keeping users aware and sharp on new tactics.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Used for two reasons, one is for prevention of harmful emails. This includes training and phishing campaigns. Other is for LMS functions. This is incredibly valuable in maintaining NISP training requirements. Policy function is used for most NISP training as well as company policy distribution.

Pros

Setting up training/phishing campaigns. Clone feature is great.
Policy training function. This feature has been a real timesaver.
Catching harmful emails. Monthly campaigns keep folks from getting lackadaisical about looking at emails before opening.
Documentation of training via the LMS. Such a timesaver!

Cons

Creation of cvs file for user upload can be a bit vexing.
Last used notification templates being at the top of list vice bottom.
Ability to create custom reports vice editing reports that can be generated.
Ability to generate custom proprietary training vice using "Policy" function as a workaround.

Likelihood to Recommend

Well suited for annual mandatory NISP training. This has gone from emailing out and tracking on spreadsheet to using LMS to disseminate and track. The notification templates eliminate reminder and past due emails.

Modifying Policy feature to a user defined training would streamline processes for NISP training.

We are using KnowBe4 Compliance Plus in our company to provide our users knowledge needed to comply with regulatory laws, so that they are able to protect themselves and at the same time protect the company's reputation. the KnowBe4 Compliance Plus is an addon that can be added to the KnowBe4 Security Awareness Training functionality.

Pros

The training material is just awesome!
Videos are really well targeted and engaging!
The material is available in many languages and not just in English!

Cons

Although there are many languages supported, this doe cover a certain presentence of the content and not all the content. This percentage could be higher!
Some of the content is outdated. New content is being added, but the outdated content is still also available.
We would like to see some group based training modules with group challenges that need to be faced / solved by groups working in a set scenario.
The phishing simulation templates are offered mainly in English. It would be great to have more of them available in more languages.

As KnowBe4 Compliance Plus is an addon to the standard KnowBe4 Security Awareness Training service, one can start just with the standard service and after having gotten the most of it a year the expand an add the KnowBe4 Compliance Plus addon as well, to get advantage of all the extras KnowBe4 Compliance Plus has to offer!

Training videos regarding the importance of privacy and security when using email and the internet. The important points of being aware of phishing, not opening emails automatically -even if they seem to come from legitimate senders. Being aware of not sharing passwords and not being careful with where you access confidential information.

Some of the actors are a little stiff
Have the setting of videos in non familiar settings like research facilities
Some of the videos seem dated

It is suited where it covers the important privacy and security concerns regarding electronic activity of any kind. It explains it clearly even for those that are not sensitive to electronic security and explains terms in layman’s language.

It could cover more the unusual settings like research facilities and the importance that needs to be addressed to devices when they are not in a secure location.

We are a manufacturing plant and safety is our top priority. We use KnowBe4 Compliance Plus to assist in our safety trainings for new hires and also refresher trainings for employees. The newsletters we send out are also a great refresher for employees. Our department also utilizes KnowBe4 Compliance Plus for phishing email simulations and cyber security testing so being able to automate the trainings with KnowBe4 Compliance Plus has been a great tool for our cyber security team. It effortlessly sends out necessary trainings once a failure occurs.

Some of the trainings can become repetitive.
Request more written answers in training modules from the trainee instead of just clicks.

Likelihood to Recommend

KnowBe4 Compliance Plus would be suitable for any business but especially larger companies with a large range of departments. For example, we have a department that has to comply with HIPPA, one that has to stay compliant for cGMP, ethics training, cyber security, etc. All trainings are in one central location that makes it easier to maintain and assign.

KnowBe4 is really helpful in organizing all our trainings and compliance things. The UI is straight forward and easy to use. From signing documents to sexual harassment training, KnowBe4 does it all very professionally and painlessly. Our company's integration with Okta also makes it a breeze to access - no complaints at all here!

It was great for on-boarding documents and trainings. We used it for signing our employee handbook and it was straight forward. The only thing that was confusing was even after reviewing a document, the time constraints to complete it were too long, although this is up to the employer I believe (maybe it can provide reasonable time frames for review a certain amount of pages)

The training KnowBe4 provides, like sexual harassment prevention videos and IT security training, is very easy for employees to use. It is a simple process, with informative videos that employees can access at any time before the deadline. We use KnowBe4 mostly for these trainings, addressing workplace requirements that all employees need training on in order to work for the company.

Videos are informative but cheesy
There should be a timer function to know how long employees have to be "in" the training to meet the time requirement to complete it

Likelihood to Recommend

It's well suited for more technical trainings like IT training & phishing scams. However, in the sexual harassment trainings, these trainings are so corny it's almost like a joke. It's hard to take the message seriously, but I think that's due to the nature of the topic & how it has to be acted out, which seems so egregious to happen in real life.
