We use ON24 for delivering live / on-demand technical webinars. The program targets thousands of people around the globe with a main goal to educate and enable these people.

Pros

  • Easy to use for speakers
  • Engagement
  • Number of features for end users

Cons

  • Limited options to implement customizations
  • Limited options with content audincing and content library
  • Not the most modern UI

Likelihood to Recommend

It is very good for live webinars that can be opened publicly. I believe the product is excellent for product releases, marketing webinars, etc., especially with recent new features. It is still possible to restrict access for certain groups of people but I wish there were more options.

We use ON24 as our webinar platform. The range it offers from live, on-demand to semi live. It is also used for internal training. The platform allows us to run our webinar-based campaigns focusing on the stages each customer is at. It serves as the foundation for delivering high-quality, interactive sessions whether for client education, lead generation, or thought leadership campaigns.

Pros

  • The customer engagement portal is amazing. What we are able to add from a content level is great. We are able to offer not only engagement but education to our audience.
  • The ability to integrate with other platforms. We use Salesforce and HubSpot and ON24 works well with these platforms allowing us to have a single view of webinar performance against campaign tracking.
  • My favourite is the ability to run different types of virtual events all within one platform. The lifecycle that we are able to get from all the events we can run within the platform as well is great.
  • The insights and data driven capabilities are amazing.

Cons

  • Would love improvement on the HTML design capabilities with the invite reminders.
  • Would also love to see more improvement on the webinar series designs on the landing pages that have these integrated. At the moment this is lacking.
  • We need to see more from a spec/size side when it comes to banners. These are hard to find.

Likelihood to Recommend

I find that ON24 caters for all types of organisations, having it allows for more choice/options. The experience around virtual events if fantastic and the ON24 team is constantly improving the platform. If you want to run a virtual events programme where you want to generate leads and track engagement, then ON24 is the platform for you.

We have been using ON24 for about 3 years now and enjoy the experience every use. Our main use is for our webinar series where we show live demonstrations of our products and advertise our capabilities to our customers an people in the industry. We also use the platform to hold all- hands meeting internally. This is a chance to poll our internal employees and get their feedback on the strategy and activities the leaders have planned for the year. I think the biggest complaint we have is that you cant hold videos within the PPT and upload it into the platform. Each video has to be upload on its own which can be really frustrating.

  • No videos in the ppt tp upload is annoying

ON24 scalable virtual event hosting platform

We use ON24 to host most of our global webinars and virtual summit programs, which gives us great support in producing multiple webinars in quick succession without spending too much time on production and allowing us to focus more on the content.

  • great product support

Cons

  • UI needs some improvement, need to look more modern
  • few areas like widgets, real time feedback, flash audience a message etc is missing
  • Virtual conference mannager is not easy to setup and need lot of manual steps

It's best suited when it comes to setting up a quick webinar, but some of the features, like recording multiple speakers, editing content, loading content etc is not easy and need special effort and some features are missing. also analytics part need lot of improvements like setting up custom report as per region, use case etc.

We use ON24 mainly for the Webinar functionality. We used to struggle with getting everyone together on the same dates for webinars on a monthly basis so the Simu-live functionality has been a game changer for us. Being able to record a webinar in advance when everyone's schedules are aligned and then broadcast it at a later date means if someone has an emergency meeting or needs to be on site we can reschedule and it doesn't affect the webinar and we aren't going out to a live audience.

  • It's not always obvious how to do something, it can be multiple clicks deep from where you'd expect it to be
  • Limited branding options
  • Everything has to go through ON24 you can't send videos or demos for people to use without going through ON24 for reporting purposes but can lead to a bad UX

Likelihood to Recommend

It's well suited for businesses that need flexibility in webinar recordings with a simple but advanced platform that can be easily explained and used by different stakeholders. We have found that there is some delay on the audio between users so it can be less suitable in scenarios where people need to talk directly to each other on the platform.

ON24 manages all of our webinars. The landing page for the webinar is created through ON24 which includes the registration form. It has an integration with Marketo, so all the registration data flows in seamlessly. We also host all the presentations and speaker logistics in ON24 so it's all managed in one place.

Our organization hosts a lot of webinars (5 or 6 per month), so we needed a solution that can templatize our setup for easier replication. ON24 does a great job making it simple and easy to launch a new webinar which is very important when hosting webinars at scale. It also integrates well with Marketo (our marketing automation database) and once it's set up, we rarely have to adjust it.

The team at [...] relies on their event and field marketing channels to establish brand awareness and attract new members and retain existing clients. But in-person events were becoming costly, time consuming and limited the team’s ability to expand their reach to larger, global audiences. Event execution required the help of third-party vendors and made it hard if not impossible to capture and track valuable audience engagement data.

Cons

  • Sometimes due to webinar being on a "website" we run into our audience members having connection issues. This is something that is a user problem, we understand, but trying to figure out a way to avoid that.

With one platform, the team could now track the behavior of every event and webinar attendee and deliver those insights directly into the hands of their field reps for follow-up. Digital enrollment meetings and wellness events for existing members (including virtual yoga classes!) included links to always-on content hubs full of relevant resources and engaging, on-demand experiences.

One way is that ON24 has helped us launch a new page on our website that features a collection of on-demand and upcoming webinars. The site currently offers around 10 webinars, with more to be added as they are produced within the ON24 platform. Webinars are categorized under headings such as: Upcoming Webinars, Webinars aligned with marketing campaigns, and Webinars categorized by Segment (Healthcare, Corporate, Small Business, etc.).

Pros

  • Amazing support team.
  • Customer service phone number with very helpful staff.
  • An ON24 employee assigned to our account, who is always available and very quick to answer questions..

Cons

  • Can't think of anything right now.

Likelihood to Recommend

The only time it is not well-suited is when a competitor of ON24, who is also our customer, does not wish to use the platform.

In our organization, we use ON24 for virtual events, webinars, and content hubs. It helps us efficiently reach large, targeted audiences, provide branded and interactive experiences such as polls and Q&A sessions. We are also able to integrate the platform with Hubspot in order to leverage its marketing automation tools to track leads and measure ROI. And...it provides a more 'elevated' user experience than most other platforms of its kind.
