Comprehensive but pricey given similar databases are available at a lower subscription cost

Use Cases and Deployment Scope
We used Tracxn to track the FinTech/WealthTech/InsurTech space, wherein we keep a track of ongoing deal activity (funding as well as volume), start-ups raising the most amount of funding, people information, and other datasets such as investor profiles, employee count, news, their financials, acquisitions made by them, etc.
Pros and Cons
  • Helped in streamlining information gathering i.e. from a single source.
  • Helped generate insights.
  • Helped search for potential targets for clients.
  • Sector reports could be better e.g. competitors like CB Insights do a better job at it.
  • Pricing is a bit steep, when compared to peers like DealRoom.
  • Credibility of the data is a question mark (CB Insights has way more traction with investors).
Likelihood to Recommend
Well suited: - Good for scouting targets for clients, based on their industry preferences, maturity level, and investor profile preference - Helped in buy-side due diligence.
Less appropriate - Lacking in terms of readily available insights, with sector reports published in-house being extremely shallow and hence not much of value addition.

Return on Investment
  • Positive: Reduced time to source information.
  • Positive: Helped in sharper insights, leading to better outcomes on scouting engagements.
  • Negative: Pricing is on the higher side.
Alternatives Considered
Tracxn lacks the comprehensiveness of a CBInsights but makes up for some of it by keeping a much lower price. However, it is still more expensive compared to some of the other similar databases in the marketplace (e.g. Crunchbase, DealRoom). Hence, it needs to work on its pricing or improve in certain areas (e.g. sector reports) to justify that price.

We used this program for data analysis. It was extremely helpful with data management within my company. Very easy to use and user-friendly on the user interface. I highly recommend this product to businesses that need data management. I will be using this program again in the near future.

I would highly recommend this product to a collogue or a customer business. It served me well and my team members all loved using this product. Data management makes working at my company a lot better. User interface really easy to learn and understand the different options within the program.

Alternatives Considered
This beats all of the other programs. I have used all of them and Tracxn makes using the software so much easier. Using it daily I found out that it has an easy learning curve and a user-friendly interface. Data is more organized in this program as well.
