Overall Satisfaction with 8x8 Work

We used 8x8 Work as a softphone solution when employees started working from home, but needed a non-mobile work contact number. The problem it addressed was a need for a simple to use, seamless experience for end users to be available on phone, without the need for extra hardware or coming into the office. The scope was for employees, mainly in Sales, but also HR and admin.

Pros

  • Easy to use, clean, modern interface
  • Simple integration with chat and screenshare
  • Can integrate with MS Teams

Cons

  • Integrate web solution with SSO
  • Customizable backgrounds, dark mode, etc.
  • Customer satisfaction - high rates of customer queries
  • End user/employee experience, and feedback has been great
It is easy to use and you can tell a lot of work has gone into the GUI, and User experience. It is easily comparable or better than its competitors in most areas of functionality, and only falls short in small areas, which is dependent on user preference. For a softphone solution you need it to "just work" and 8x8 does that in my experience.
They are very similar in functionality and usability. Fuze tended to have some legacy settings and features which were a bit more clunky and complicated compared to 8x8

Yes

It is well suited for on-the-go and mobile communications with the mobile app. It is simple to use, effective and a smooth experience. It is easy to scale for large organizations, and similarly can be cost-effective for a small organization with 10-20 users. I cannot find any business scenarios where it is less appropriate.
