Overview from daily user
Overall Satisfaction with Abila MIP Fund Accounting
We use MIP Fund Accounting as our accounting software. We also use the payroll and marketing programs. We don't use the budgeting part. I don't have any problems with the accounting software but it could be a little more user friendly. Some of the reporting and transactions are difficult to use.
Pros
- Financial Reports are really good.
- A/P is fairly easy to process
- Customer service is good
Cons
- I would like for name fields to be set up differently. Last name and first name in a separate field. Sorting is impossible when the entire name is in one field.
- Recurring entries are difficult to use.
- Writing a one time check is difficult.
- It has expanded our reporting capabilities
- Different account number combinations have improved our expense and revenue tracking
I was not part of the selection process. MIP was implemented a few months before I came to work here
MIP Fund Accounting Feature Ratings
Using Abila MIP
- Copying journal vouchers from month to month is easy and efficient.
- Printing financial statements is a breeze. Being able to filter the statements by departments is great!
- The check writing process is easy.
- Sorting reports by name is difficult. I wish there were two columns, last name and first name
- Recurring accounts payable doesn't allow you to change the invoice number. We can not use it.
- Our billing process is very cumbersome but it is partly our fault because of the way we set it up.
