Overall Satisfaction with Abila MIP Fund Accounting
MIP is used across the entire organization. We consolidate multiple tax exempt entities, use internal budget based financial reporting and audit support, incorporate fixed assets, internal payroll processing, and import from other front-end software packages. We use the budget module for performance based reporting, and use the receivable module when appropriate and interface with the SQL database when useful.
- Excellent general ledger reporting
- Flexible security
- Integrated audit trail features built into the system.
- Budget module could provide paste from Excel capability.
- Reports could provide access to more fields. Sometimes, particularly in payroll, reporting and tying certain fields in a single report is not possible. This also occurs in GL, but is particularly difficult in payroll.
- Fixed Assets module is accounting only. Could provide for better fixed asset control, monitoring and maintenance. (e.g. warranty and maintenance cycle alerts.)
- There could be a more convenient way to upgrade segments.
- Ability to combine accounting information from a wide variety of agency types and front-end revenue systems.
- Ability to perform payroll in-house.
- Ability to meet regulatory compliance issues with an ODBC connection.
Don't deal with funds approach.
Best for us due to the ability to coordinate many agency types and flexible reporting.
