MIP Fund Accounting is used as our organizational accounting and financial reporting software.
- Very easy to set up and get started.
- Very stable product, as we have not had a software crash in the 18 years we have used the product.
- Customer support is excellent, always prompt and helpful.
- The reporting functions could be easier to work with than they currently are.
- Due to the ease of use and the integration of the modules MIP has increased efficiency and therefore allowed us to reduce FTE's for the accounting functions and save on costs.
Our organization has in excess of 40 funding sources including federal state and local governments, as well as private funding from utility companies and foundations. MIP tracks everything and allows us to report back on our activities to funding sources with ease.
We looked at a variety of products when we decided to migrate away from our previous software. We looked at Great Plains, Blackbaud and a few others. But MIP, as it was known as back in 1998, stood out from the rest. We purchased the base product, installed it and converted from our previous software with relative ease. As time went by we purchased more of the modules and now have a complete financial management system in place, including payroll and human resource management.
