Overall Satisfaction with Absorb LMS

Our business is in the field of E-Learning targeting Healthcare Professionals who are looking to gain initial certification or recertification within their career. I manage the Learning Management System for the company, including providing customer service, learning architectural design, scaffolding of learning environments, creating communities of practice, and more. Absorb allows us to have an efficient platform to not only host content for users, but to encourage them to engage deeply in the learning process. We are currently revamping our learning ecosystem toward one that is more efficient, supportive, and inclusive to learners of all stages within their career. Absorb meets us where we are at and has the capability to stretch and grow as we do. Our account liaison, Zoe MacKay is fantastic and she is always responsive to our desires - be they for functionality, explanation of additional services provided by Absorb, or just learning theory and philosophy conversations.

  • Provides a collaborative meaning-making space for customers to collaborate on using Absorb effectively.
  • Absorb is reflexive to your needs as a company and is comfortable meeting you where you are at and allowing you room to grow.
  • Absorb, while having a great space for putting forth ideas, could be better about sharing their roadmap and plans for development with their corporate clients. We need to know so that we can design with these new or updated features in mind and amplify the message ahead of time instead of being more reactive.
  • Absorb has room for more growth in the hosting of external content, as well as some functionality pieces when integrating learning objects into a course or curriculum. These objects do not link to one another and inherit completion, even when they are shared across different courses. My understanding is that they do in AbsorbCreate, but not the built-in LMS management suite of software.
  • As I have just started in the last few months, I do not have specific data that comes to mind for this question.

These features have allowed us to collect and action data around learner engagement, focus time, growth, and collaboration which enable us to amplify our own messaging, mission, and vision. The API connections have enabled us to create SSO data pipelines from our clients to capture integral data without having to request it from individual users, making the overall experience more seamless.
Absorb Support is always highly responsive and takes the time to follow-up on tickets to ensure that they were resolved. I know that this should be a pretty basic expectation, but let's face it, it's not as common a practice as it should be. Further, Absorb goes beyond by providing superior attention and service from a customer support standpoint which aligns with our own mission and is highly appreciated.

Absorb is well-suited for organizations that want an LMS with many different features that can be configured to your needs. The tools and access are fantastic compared to competitors. Over the past few years, Absorb has done well to stay on the forefront of design, although I have noticed that they have not dug in as deeply with A.I. integration (outside of the intelligent assistant in the search function for the LMS). This is surprising as they seem to be a company that is looking for ways to innovate in the space. Further, Absorb supports their employees and clients through providing enriching experiences via Absorb Ally Chats which lean into Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Justice. While I have not had experience with many account representatives, I can say that Zoe MacKay is wholly supportive, available, and collaborative in her approach to growing her clients and the capabilities behind Absorb.
