Overall Satisfaction with ActiveCampaign

We're using Active Campaign for all of our email marketing needs/campaigns, and also partly for our marketing automation w/ salesforce.
  • Email campaigns
  • Salesforce Integration
  • Ux/Ui
  • Support
  • Reporting
  • Lead to MQL/SQL conversion is up: great automated emails & text campaigns have helped generate over 2 deals this quarter. Very happy with the quality and ease of use it is to launch great automated campaigns
  • Improved data quality: showing the activity leads/contacts do in sfdc has improved MQL data
  • Increased website traffic
Active Campaign is 100x way better than Mailchimp. If you're using Mailchimp, you should switch asap. Mailchimp is fine if you're running a small business or family business, but an Active campaign is far more robust for startups and small-medium-sized businesses. Active campaigns are actually marketing automation & email marketing.

It's tough to compare active campaigns to Marketo. Marketo really best suits larger companies & enterprises since there's much more complexity with their marketing activities. Whereas Active Campaign has most of what you'd need and want out of Marketo, it just has a few fewer features and capabilities than what you can do in Marketo. Active Campaign is also waaaaay easier to use (outstanding UX/UI) but the customer support frankly kinda sucks -- you'll basically be on your own for troubleshooting).

Do you think ActiveCampaign delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with ActiveCampaign's feature set?

Yes

Did ActiveCampaign live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of ActiveCampaign go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy ActiveCampaign again?

Yes

Activecampaign is great for small teams and startups. It's got everything you'd need to execute email campaigns, integrates well with salesforce, and has all the essentials plus some nifty extras - decent reporting, website/email activity per contact (shows in salesforce) and simply, has really great UX/UI, super easy to use and train others on using it.

I can see Active Campaign falling a bit short compared to Marketo and others for enterprise/larger teams. It doesn't have the full marketing automation capabilities that Marketo has (advances logic steps in campaigns, alerts in sfdc, etc) but that being said, Active Campaign covers most of what you'd need. If you're on a big team or at a bigger company (300+) and you're trying to do very advanced marketing automation, Active Campaign may not be the best choice -- but it's definitely a solid choice.
