Acumatica review
Overall Satisfaction with Acumatica
Quote to cash management plus warehouse Inventory, Assembly process & Case management.
Pros
- Better than Quickbooks.
- Customization, being able to make custom screens, connect tools together.
- Can setup automation rules. There is a lot that needs to change for that to be easier but the fact we can is huge.
Cons
- Large bi yearly upgrades. Compared to competitors in the space, the upgrade processes, the biggest Achilles' heel the system has.
- Improved: Ability to see what field relates to the UI. (example dealing with approval mapping and trying to figure out where the decision wait time is stored is really difficult since there are fields for wait time, and pending wait time in the same area.)
- Another improvement would be more clarity around why a field was updated/changed. Example is inventory there are a few processes that put it on booked and others change it to another status but it's hard to tell why or what is causing it.
- I'm not sure we could qualify some of the things we took out of our business model to make a complex due to the multitude of systems we had in our QuickBooks environments have been replaced with the problems we have now with all the customizations in our environment, maintaining them and deploying them.
Other
We have lots of wishes in this category. We are still struggling to be able to execute some of these ideas, realizing limitations of current systems, including mica portals to the "component we're having to build a custom environment for that and limitations in the billing side of the equation we had big aspirations.
I'm not sure if there's a lot of other people in our ecosystem like us. We are unique because we are hybridize business model and we go across different functionalities. I would assume we are a unique entity inside your world, but not positive on that.
I'm not sure because we didn't select them, but the one thing that I didn't notice is in the area of Nannette suite I think from my friends that owned businesses that are using net suite the ability to customize their environment and maintain upgrades is more seamless. it's almost like a non-event for them although that system was more expensive. I now think it would've been equal to the same expense due to the fact of the complexities of what we're managing through nowadays through the upgrade process.
