Overall Satisfaction with Adobe Acrobat

I use Adobe Acrobat read, comment on, mark up, and edit PDFs. I love that it allows me to leave comments/edits/markups on PDFs in a variety of ways, such as crossing out text and suggesting what to insert, highlighting, commenting, and more. It's much better than opening a PDF in my web browser or Teams.

Pros

  • Directly edit text
  • Provide markups and suggestions
  • Insert and remove pages from the same PDF or others on your computer

Cons

  • The interface is pretty user-friendly, but I think the options on the lefthand panel could be made a bit easier to read and select from sub-levels
  • Sharing PDFS with colleagues and partners
  • Adding markups and edits
  • Inserting and deleting pages
  • Saving time by streamlining the editing process
  • Ease of Use
  • Other
The ability to edit and mark up PDFs.
I haven’t noticed an impact.
Adobe Acrobat has vastly higher capabilities when it comes to marking up PDFs and editing them or commenting on them. It makes it much easier for my colleagues and me to share documents in their draft layout and suggest edits. It also seems to run more smoothly and quickly than PDF viewers built into web browsers or Teams.

Do you think Adobe Acrobat delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Adobe Acrobat's feature set?

Yes

Did Adobe Acrobat live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Adobe Acrobat go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Adobe Acrobat again?

Yes

Adobe Acrobat is best suited for sharing PDFs between lots of people, especially when others need to provide comments, edits, changes, etc. If all you need to do is read a PDF and nothing more, you probably don't need it, but I still like how it functions better than my browser (Firefox). It's not appropriate for making lots of changes, such as moving images around.

Using Adobe Acrobat

18 - Our team represents many departments and functions, including higher education, marketing, communications, fundraising, program design and implementation, data analysis, administration, finance, and research. We use Adobe Acrobat in all areas of our work.
1 - We have technical support from the larger university, so no one is specifically in-house, but our IT are employees of our university and provide assistance with technical issues including our usage of Adobe Acrobat.
  • sharing documents that maintain formatting with external partners
  • implementing consistency in visual branding
  • a powerful PDF editing tool
  • being able to quickly edit PDFs once they've already been exported
  • editing tools like commenting, suggesting text inserts, etc
  • providing brand-ready PDFs that people without design skills can edit without detracting from the visual appeal
Hands down, Adobe Acrobat is the best tool out there for accessing, reading, and editing PDFs. The university has a license that allows all staff to use the Pro version at no extra cost, so it's easy to share documents with colleagues across different departments and schools. It offers unparalleled capabilities to make edits and markup, so it's particularly useful in marketing.
