Overall Satisfaction with Adobe Acrobat DC

We mainly use Adobe Acrobat DC to interact with PDFs in the organization. It's our working horse for opening, editing, and sharing PDFs, especially when we need to convert between PDF and other file types or when we need to split or collate existing PDF files to package them for more streamlined communication between individuals or groups.
  • Exporting PDFs
  • Editing PDFs
  • Adding comments on PDFs
  • Scanned text recognition - it works decently but definitely can be further improved
  • Some tool features can be improved or made more widely accessible
  • Commenting on documents
  • Being able to split and merge PDFs within the same application
  • Being able to sign and send
  • Converting to other file types
  • Made the process of getting signatures on a document more efficient - saved time from manually circulating and signing and scanning documents
  • Shortened the time needed to organize and send documents - merging and splitting features enable the sending of the exact documents needed to stakeholders
  • Reduction of manual errors made when reconciling different documents - commenting enables stakeholders to comment directly and make sure that these comments aren't lost
Overall usability is very good, the design feels straightforward and the toolset is easy to navigate and there are tips to help you if you are confused. Overall the functionality is well laid out and easy to use and there's rarely confusion on my team on how to get straightforward tasks completed.
This is extremely helpful in terms of us making sure that we are preserving the necessary document and audit trails necessary and allows Quality Assurance to let us take these more efficient measures such as signing off of project documents using Adobe or the processing/editing of pdfs. It just enables more groups and teams to use this application freely without concern from either IT or Quality Assurance.
Overall Adobe Acrobat DC had more features and just was more of flagship and dependable application that was already widely used in the organization. Its toolset and security made it an easy pick against other newer PDF readers and editors.

Overall I use Adobe Acrobat DC for opening, editing, and collating PDFs. There is a difference in the tools/features that you have access to depending on if you're using the base free version or the pro version which is just something to note. Overall I think this software is great for interactions with PDFs such as opening, adding comments, or converting to another file type but less applicable for designing complex documents or elaborate plans. But as a PDF reader and editor, it definitely does the job efficiently and consistently.
