Salesforce Marketing Cloud can't touch the features of Marketo with a 10 foot pole. Marketo is a full feature MAP while SFDC MC (Pardot) requires you to purchase the entire SDFDC tech stack to start to get comparable features. Marketo natively integrates with the Adobe martec stack(BEST THERE IS) and 3rd party integrations are mostly very simple to setup without middleware. Marketo's MSI is great for sales/marketing alignment where their sales engagement doesn't have the same features OOTB.
