Overall Satisfaction with Adobe Photoshop

Adobe Photoshop is used throughout the marketing department, however, I am the main user as the graphic designer. It addresses the problem of keeping our branding consistent, professional and high-end. It allows creative freedom when editing photos, creating documents for web or print, or converting files to other file types.

Pros

  • Adaptability - there are so many different tools that can be used to solve so many different problems.
  • User Interface - hover cards and tools and tips can help beginners.
  • Photo Manipulation - being able to fix images pixel by pixel is extremely beneficial.

Cons

  • I'd like the integration with Adobe fonts to be a little smoother.
  • The fact that the drag to resize tool is locked in scale compared to other Adobe products where you have to hold down the control button is inconsistent and rather irritating.
  • Adobe Photoshop has had a positive ROI because it's the only tool on the market that is capable of handling both graphic design and photo editing - anything you do in Illustrator or InDesign can be replicated within Photoshop.
I've used Canva as a quick alternative for designing brochures or flyers, but it does not meet the functionality of Photoshop whatsoever. It's good for a quick, on-the-go type design, or for someone that does not have a lot of design experience - but Photoshop is truly the only program that allows complete design control.
I have not gotten in touch with Adobe Photoshop support, however, there have been times that I've googled a question and the message and support boards on adobe.com are full of helpful user information that typically answers my question. There's a wealth of knowledge on Adobe's website and I'm sure that their support team is thorough and somewhat timely.

Adobe Photoshop is the only tool out on the market that has the extreme amount of capabilities for photo editing. It's suitable for small-scaled businesses and creative agencies to use. With the Creative Cloud subscription, it's suitable for students, teachers, and beginners up to advanced users.
