Overall Satisfaction with ADP Workforce Now
We use ADP in the Finance/Accounting Department for processing three payrolls. Two of these are Weekly payrolls and one is Semi-Monthly. We also use ADP for their Tax Payment and Submission Services for the payrolls. Additionally, we use the reporting function in ADP for different purposes, such as General Ledger Integration and a host of other useful reports.
Pros
- The Tax Payment and Submission function of ADP saves us valuable time so that we can use our resources elsewhere. It's also a worry-free way to make sure that we are in compliance.
- The Payroll function of ADP is very user friendly and we have had very few problems with the delivery of our payroll checks/stubs over the last 14 years.
- The ADP personnel are very knowledgeable whenever I've had to call for support and mostly are able to address my issue with one phone call.
Cons
- One thing I would like to see done is for our company to be able to "go green." By this I mean, some employees would prefer to be able to obtain an electronic copy of their pay stub instead of a paper copy, others prefer to have the paper copy, and still others want the paper check to take to the bank. We have asked about this several times over the years but it never gets addressed. They have dropped the ball on this with us.
- We are not interested in their other services because we had Cobra Services at one time but we were doing the majority of the work ie., contacting the benefits providers when an employee left, etc. & were being charged fees that were ridiculous. They do payroll really well, but Cobra Services, not so much.
- During one especially difficult time in our business we had to reduce our workforce and ADP was helpful in it's ease of processing the severances.
Our HR team has saved time, but I'm not sure how much. - One thing that ADP did which improved our processing time was to immediately be able to preview the payroll instead of having to wait on ADP to contact us that it was ready to review which usually took around 15 minutes. Now, the preview is instantly available for review. Another thing that this helped was if you had to make changes in the past, you had to submit, review, "not accept," wait...wait...wait, then make changes, re-submit, review. Now this is done with little waiting, almost instantaneously.
