Overall Satisfaction with Amazon Cloud Drive

We use Amazon Drive for sharing documents for a workflow. This is beneficial because users can access it on any device, whether it be a work station or on-the-go on a mobile device. This is imperative, as things are always changing. It's nice to use a cloud service without the lag of having to log into a secure network to access a work station. Wonderful because, if organized properly, you will always know you are looking at the most recent file.

Pros

  • Organized platform, can use personally & for work.
  • Cloud, so you can access it anywhere- you just need to have an Amazon account.
  • Affordable upgrade of $11.99/month once you reach the 5GB limit.

Cons

  • Less storage than Google Drive, Google offers 15GB of free space - vs. Amazon's 5GB.
  • Also, unlike with Google Drive, you can't back up your work with Amazon Drive ( I also use Google Drive, since I have a Gmail account).
  • A lot more expensive than Google Drive, which is 1.99/month...but they are more in line with Dropbox pricing.
  • It's saved us so many times when we need to see the latest version of something. This helps us show and exhibit our best work so our clients feel confident working with us.
  • Everyone has an Amazon account, so its an easy set up. This ensures that everyone has access to the necessary files for presentations.
  • Overall, Amazon has a such a positive reputation and people feel confident using their services- clients included.
We use Dropbox and Google Drive. Personally, I like Google Drive slightly better because they're cheaper (you can't beat $1.99). They also offer a business option that feels a little more professional. But functionality wise, they compare really similarly and are both excellent products and highly recommended!
Amazon is incredible...a trusted company, so of course we trust their cloud service! It's been such a smooth workflow using their cloud service. We often travel to see clients, and sometimes we may not have the latest version of a presentation because people are rushing and things can get confusing. Now we're never worried because we can always fetch them from the cloud.
