Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We are using Appian as our enterprise business process automation platform. We started off small and we are expanding the tool to new departments. Appian addresses the dependency we had on email communications, now everything is ported to a workflow for better visibility of how each department works.

Pros and Cons

Ease of implementation.
Integration and flexibility work with multiple platforms.
Well defined roadmap on upgrades and bringing in new features.

Database, Appian uses MySQL and recently moved to MariaDB, which does not have good support. Appian should offer connectivity to multiple database platforms.
Backward compatibility, Since Appian releases multiple patches, it will be good to have tools to migrate deprecated services to the supportable services.

Support Rating

Did not face any issues with Appian Support so far. Quite good in terms of addressing issues and bugs.

Very easy to use. Developer and user friendly.

Blue Prism Intelligent RPA

We are using it along with Appian.

Likelihood to Recommend

Appian is a great tool for automating business workflows. The implementation is quite easy and we haven't seen many bugs with the applications built on Appian. Their customer support is quite good.
