Overall Satisfaction with Apple Remote Desktop

We use various types of remote assistance software to assist users with their issues. This one in particular, we are using to access users' PCs that are natively running Apple OS. We found it particularly easy as it is available as part of system applications and does not require extra steps from the user.

Cons

  • General UI
  • Cross OS optimisation
  • Bit faster
  • Access to users that are on iOS
It can be more usable, and if you are not in the Apple ecosystem, most likely you haven't even heard of it. Does it need improvements? Absolutely. Will it get improved? Most likely not. I believe this app is just part of the system app, which is nice to have, but any user will most likely choose some other option from the available apps.

While this is a good product for Apple users my go to product for remote assistance will always be other after market solutions however I believe that is just my environment and habits rather than bad product itself.
