Overall Satisfaction with Articulate 360

I am an instructional designer, so I am consistently using the product for course creation in a virtual educational environment. The product addresses rapid development and functionality. This is the bread and butter of what we do.

Pros

  • Lots of scope for flexibility. If you're creative you can figure it out.
  • Consistent design and menu options
  • Integration for accessible learning options

Cons

  • Some things are a bit clunky (e.g. timer features, some quiz tracking)
  • Math! I get it's niche, but it's pretty terrible at integration mathematical equations.
  • I think overall some templates for more standard functions. (I.e. a 360 discovery template etc. The library is a great resource, but it could be improved.
  • It's made our courses more easily accessible.
  • For straightforward designs it has a fairly easy learning curve. Our designers can get up-skilled easily.
  • The menu and player makes for a nice cohesive look, which improves engagement and trustworthiness with our clients and students.
We are venturing into Rise and Review360. They are fairly intuitive, but I would like to see a bit more of a button for a back and forth transition between Storyline and Rise.
It's amazing. I love the ability to quickly iterate and draft. I'm sad though it's extra. This means we won't actually get to use it for the next year until we can get contracts redone. I was so excited though. It will supercharge our productivity.
I think it's pretty usable for basic stuff. For more advanced stuff, it takes some effort on the part of the user.
It's just better. Design-wise, Ease of use wise, out-put wise. I love that Articulate is constantly updating.

Yes

I think it's great for straightforward learning. (The old Ppt bones). But I think it's a bit of a challenge for interactivity and animation. It's rough to have to be a Javascript expert or come up with hacks for nicer animations or design ideals.
