Overall Satisfaction with Articulate 360

I work for a company that provides training to employees of state departments. Many times we utilize Storyline to create software simulations and “You Try” opportunities.

Pros

  • Familiar and easy to navigate user interface
  • Community resources and forums elevate the product from a user standpoint
  • Create responsive and now increasingly accessible learning experiences

Cons

  • A grayscale preview would be a nice add on for the Accessibility Checker
  • I sometimes experience application failure at times when I am not doing anything hardware heavy
  • Could we have a single flip animation, like for flip cards?
  • More accessible course creation
  • Rise: reduced time and increased collaboration
  • Storyline: increased flexibility with what can be presented and achieved
The integration of Storyline blocks into Rise has been essential for making Rise deliverables more flexible and customized. Review 360 has been instrumental in maintaining and keeping track of iterative reviews.
Storyline and Rise, I have found are incredibly user-friendly. I was able to start building with them, and with help from Community resources within days. I feel proficiency with the software was achievable within weeks. I have witnessed this within my company as well.
Around the same time I trialed Articulate 360 four years ago, I also trialed Adobe Captivate. Captivate has since been updated, but my initial experience with Captivate left me feeling confused and uninspired. My experience in general with Adobe products, with consideration with the power and potential behind them, is that the UI takes significant time to develop proficiency in. I did not return to Captivate after the first two days of the trial like I did with Storyline.

Do you think Articulate 360 delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Articulate 360's feature set?

Yes

Did Articulate 360 live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Articulate 360 go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Articulate 360 again?

Yes

We sometimes use Articulate Rise 360 for instructor-led training, but it is not always the ideal presentation tool, especially if software simulations are required. We typically use the demonstrated software natively. I am curious about Mobile First design and development, and I am unclear how to best achieve truly mobile response design in Storyline.
