Articulate 360 makes life easier by offering products that are user friendly and operate efficiently from initial design through user integration.
Overall Satisfaction with Articulate 360
Articulate makes my work easier by offering products that are easy to use as an authoring tool, easy to share when gathering client and/or SME feedback, and easy to edit once that feedback has been received.
The addition of AI technology speeds up the design process by helping me build a training framework that I can quickly work to customize and build content out from. The addition of AI text to speech has saved me countless hours that were previously dedicated solely to the capturing and editing of audio content. If I am in a pinch for an image that fits a particular scenario, the AI image generation tool also results in time savongs, and enhances the feeling of a more customized product.
Articulate 360 also facilitates a robust e-learning community, comprised of both fellow creators and experts who share their expertise, and are always willing to help troubleshoot project obstacles.

Pros
- Provides products that are easy to use.
- Enhances tools by folding in AI technology in a thoughtful manner.
- Provides access to a robust learning community of peers and experts.
Cons
- Storyline 360 sometimes freezes, resulting in lost work effort.
- AI results are sometimes too random to be beneficial.
- AI output does not seem to follow any type of standard learning development framework, such as Blooms Taxonomy or SMART Goals.
- Reduces reliance on in- person training for base knowledge building - allowing for Instructors to concentrate on more complex scenario training or hands on practice sessions.
- Produces training that can be shared with multiple divisions and teams - reusable and easily updatable as needed.
- Excellent for annual compliance training, with the ability to easily track progress and assessment results on many LMS platforms.
I primarily create in Storyline 360, with scenario-based training using view/try/test courses being of a particular interest in our organization. Being that we do not have a training environment for all of our systems, view/try/test offers the learner a hands-on activity that mimics the live experience, without the placing any of our inforce business cases at risk. It also allows me the opportunity to effectively mask sensitive PII data by either covering or replacing that data.
I often then use Rise as a presentation tool for these Storyline components - building upon and enhancing those with the pre-built block templates that are available in the Rise platform. These enhancements result in an improved learner's experience through additional interactive learning opportunities and allows me to save some design effort due to the use of the existing templates.

In my experience, AI enhancements have resulted in faster course creation by performing functions such as text to speech, image generation, and course outline and building - particularly in the Rise platform with recent enhancements. While this later course build technology does still require a designer's eye and SME review, it does reduce time by building the framework - establishing components such as Learning Objectives, summary statements, and recommended presentation methods that enhance learner engagement.
I use these systems with the Articulate suite, as they integrate nicely with the products. I prefer Articulate as the primary authoring tool because it is easy to use and allows for this type of integration. This allows for other divisions in our organization who may not have access to Articulate to still submit elements that can be used directly in the design.
