Overall Satisfaction with Ascentis HR
We use it across the whole organization and it was a replacement to a program that did not offer much in the way of HR services. We now have a self service portal for employees to make changes and it has helped with recruiting and connects to the payroll program.
Pros
- Flows to payroll in real time
- Self service portal makes sending messages to employees easy
Cons
- The benefits usually do not flow over to payroll very well and need a lot of work
- The information that flows over to payroll can be quite a bit different from HR and it does not receive all the information
- It can take a while to get all the new hire information
- It helped us go from being a small seasonal employer to a medium sized employer, open year round.
- It was a hard transition for managers and employees because it was not as user friendly as we had hoped. We have to use a lot of work arounds. Once we were able to get past the initial problems and find the work arounds, it helped to get other employees on the same page.
- ADP and Ceridian Dayforce
For Ascentis Payroll, we have a dedicated representative and he always responds timely and knows the product very well. It has been great working with him and I like having someone dedicated rather than calling a support line. I wish they would do this for the timekeeping side of things as well.
