Overall Satisfaction with Atlassian Jira

Our organization, Kore.ai, a leading provider of conversational AI solutions, integrated Atlassian Jira to enhance project management. Atlassian Jira assists us in organizing the various projects being developed in the organization. Our developers find it convenient for assigning and tracking tasks. We can monitor project progress, assign responsibilities, and ensure the timely completion of deliverables, thereby improving productivity. Atlassian Jira enhanced out ability to manage and search through issues effectively.

Pros

  • As a developer, it is easy to create, track and manage tickets efficiently.
  • Customizable issue types (eg: Bug, Task, Story, Epic) allow teams to categorize and priorizate work.
  • Great text editor and markdown support for detailed issue descriptions.
  • Assign issues to team members, set due dates and define priorities.
  • Integration with Jenkins, GitHub and other CI/CD tools to automate builds and deployments.

Cons

  • I feel like Atlassian Jira's interface can be a little overwhelming sometimes because of the sheer number of options makes it difficult to navigate.
  • Navigating through mobile version seems like a difficult task.
  • Sometimes Atlassian Jira can become slow when handling a large number of issues.
  • Increased productivity - Teams complete projects 20-25% faster due to tracking and automation.
  • Better project visibility - Dashboards provide real-time insights
  • Non-technical teams often struggle with Atlassian Jira's interface.
On the bright side, Atlassian Jira supports Agile, DevOps, ITSM, and more. It is also customizable and can be adapted to teams with different needs. We can integrate it with Confluence, Bitbucket, and CI/CD tools. However, new users find Atlassian Jira difficult to use and require Add-ons for Features like Gantt charts, and time tracking needs plugins.
monday.com cannot be integrated with CI/CD tools, whereas Atlassian Jira integrates with CI/CD tools seamlessly. Atlassian Jira has strong Agile and Scrum support. Coming to monday.com, it has basic agile functionality. But Atlassian Jira has a complex UI, and monday.com has an intuitive, drag-and-drop interface. Overall, Atlassian Jira provides features like Agile project management, DevOps integration, and customizable workflows.

Do you think Atlassian Jira delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Atlassian Jira's feature set?

Yes

Did Atlassian Jira live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Atlassian Jira go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Atlassian Jira again?

Yes

I would suggest Atlassian Jira for large-scale enterprise project management. Atlassian Jira is great for technical teams because Atlassian Jira provides seamless integration with Bitbucket, Jenkins, GitHub, and more. Atlassian Jira automatically updates the issue status and build failures trigger alerts. I think Atlassian Jira is less appropriate for small teams with simple task management needs since they don't require complex workflows or reporting. I believe the Atlassian Jira interface is not user-friendly for non-technical teams.
