Overall Satisfaction with Automox
We use Automox to attempt to keep all devices fully patched. We didn't have a reliable patching tool and we hoped Automox would address all aspects of patching.
Pros
- API integration
- Detailed information about individual devices
Cons
- I think the Automox agent is trash. We have not found a way to reconnect "Disconnected" devices without rebooting the device or removing then reinstalling the agent.
- In my opinion, the Automox agent needs to be improved. This is a real big issue and painpoint.

- Automox has slightly reduced overhead in regards to keeping devices patched
We experienced more work and effort having to keep the Automox agent connected. The Automox agent losing connectivity and not reconnecting without manual intervention is a really bad issue for us.
I can't believe the list doesn't allow me to enter tools like HP Server Administrator (HPSA), SCCM, or AWS SSM. In my opinion, these tools use agents that are considerably more reliable and easier to fix if they lose connectivity.
