Overall Satisfaction with Auzmor Learn

The Birmingham Regional EMS System-BREMSS is tasked with facilitating EMS education. Currently we use Auzmor Learn as a method to offer distributive education to the EMS providers we serve. In addition to our staff, the courses offered by BREMSS through Auzmor Learn are available to all EMS providers throughout the state of Alabama at no charge. The system allows us to offer most, if not all, the education required to recertify as an EMT or Paramedic. Routinely EMS providers seeking new licensure in the State of Alabama are referred to our protocol course located on Auzmor Learn for completion of training required by the Alabama Office of EMS. In addition to the distributive course offerings located in our course and path libraries, we have utilized the event feature to conduct live, non-distributive, instructor led education for our EMS providers when in person sessions have not been feasible.

  • In a year of pandemic and the burdens placed on the healthcare system, Auzmor Learn allowed us to maintain our mission as it pertains to education, and assisted many EMS providers in meeting their recertification requirements when more traditional options were no longer available.
  • Having this system in place has allowed our organization to continue instructor level training, which in turn allows life-saving education to continue within our communities.
  • The features built into the system allows the quality assurance needed to ensure that our learners are meeting the minimum objectives needed for course completion.
  • We have not have any perceived negative impact from integrating Auzmor Learn into our training methodologies.
The process of researching various learning management systems was about a two year endeavor. We had a set of very specific features we needed and a strict budget. We found many great options along the way, but the deciding factors were ease of use for our learners and cost of implementation. Auzmor Learn featured all the requirements we listed as "must haves" in an LMS. All other options that met the list were considerably higher in cost. The customer service team has been second to none. Many feature requests that we felt would be beneficial to our operations have been either implemented or we have been given thorough explanations as to why it can or can't be added. Many times in the LMS evaluation process I walked away from the discussions feeling that the company either did not care if they had us as a customer or that we were looking for too much specificity in an LMS. From the first conversation I had with representatives from Auzmor Learn, I have been given the impression that they feel as though they are working for us, rather than we should feel privileged to be using their system. When approaching the Auzmor team with a suggestion, the response is always let's see if it can be done and if it can benefit all our customers.
The support from Auzmor Learn has really been second to none. We have a dedicated individual that we seek out with issues and concerns, and in turn they ensure we are kept up to date with the most current changes and updates. The IT team has been very responsive whenever there has been an issue, and in most cases all issues are quickly resolved.
One of the major characteristics of an LMS we looked for was "ease of use" for our learners. The site is very easily navigated . From an administrator's standpoint the functionality is great. Course development and import are seamless. Assignment and tracking of course progress is very easy. Continued development and the addition of new features is very beneficial.

Auzmor Learn is an outstanding option for an organization needing a method to offer diverse methods of educational activities while maintaining easy to use features for the learner. Our learners are more focused on the pass/fail aspect of the course and the ability to receive their certificate of successful completion immediately. At the same time the LMS allows for gaining needed post course statistics detailed enough for a full course analysis. The system allows me to organize, assign courses, and track progress for my internal staff members or "teams" while also allowing for established users to enroll in and complete courses of their choosing located in the course and path libraries. Auzmor Learn may not be the ideal LMS for those needing a more traditional education setup in which daily record keeping is required.

Using Auzmor Learn

500 - The primary users of Auzmor Learn in relation to our organization are Emergency Medical Services Personnel and other various healthcare providers outside our organization. As the designated regional office for our area we are tasked with the coordination and distribution of continuing medical education for EMTs, Advanced EMTs, and Paramedics in a seven county region.
2 - As the manager of education for our organization I am responsible for the creation and development of the education resources as well as the policies and procedures relating to our eLearning resources. We have an education assistant who is responsible for the daily monitoring of users to include the status of current users and addition of new users.
  • Currently EMS personnel are able to utilize this system to gain distributive continuing medical education courses needed for licensure and certification.
  • Over the last several months the ability to hold in person courses has decreased but by utilizing this software we have been able to continue the education of our EMS personnel.
  • We use this system to help EMS providers coming into our state obtain the needed course work required for licensure in our state.
From a functionality standpoint the software continues to meet the requirements we had set for the LMS we chose to implement. The addition of new features has increased the likelihood we will continue to use Auzmor Learn. As long as the usability of the software meets the needs of our learners we would not have a reason to look at other options.
