Avalara addresses almost all aspects of sales tax. It connects to our enterprise system for automated tax calculations on invoicing with minimal maintenance on tax rates in different jurisdictions. It maintains our certificates for compliance with the numerous states rulings, and provides digital access to all certs across our different locations. Using the data it provides for our tax, it files our sales tax returns for all states with approval. This automation has reduced the need to grow our tax department size and maintain all these needs with one staff member overseeing the processes without forfeiting our compliance.

We currently file in all states with sales tax. Month end tax filings is simply checking my balance sheet totals with their monthly tax liability totals and hitting "approve".
