Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Avalara for tax calc, and returns. It has simplified our billing process, as we sell all over the US and Canada. I would, however, like to see revisions to the vendor discount procedure.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Calculates the proper tax.
Simplifies returns.
The learning center.

Cons

The vendor discount procedure.
They could make registration for state sites more simplified.
I wish I could call Avalara for tax advice and not be told: "ma'am you will need to contact the state of .... for that info."

Return on Investment

Saves a lot of my time.
The streamlined system makes internal processes a little easier.
Clerks in our company can now do billing. It used to be that the accounting office people were the only people allowed to bill.

I was not involved in the implementation, but the team communicated that it was seamless.

Usability

Avalara is seamless to our employees. They have no idea Avalara is involved.

Likelihood to Recommend

Works well for medium-sized business platforms, and for companies selling in multiple states.
