Overall Satisfaction with Avalara
It is being used by the finance department for Sales and Use Tax uploads and filing returns. It addresses our companies economic nexus and status of returns, as well as sales tax rates.
- Calculating tax rates quickly for specific areas
- User-friendly, ability to filter etc.
- Returns process is easy and painless with Avalara
- The answer is not the helpcenter!! It's not always easy to navigate and it would be helpful if support can explain in detail what needs to be done
- The time for updating the reports after you make changes to transactions is not as quick as I would expect
- The upload for transactions for sales tax does not always catch every line, the ability to have it a bit simpler would help
- At this time, the time spent reconciling against Avalara is just as much time as filing the returns. I am trying to find a better way to reconcile and upload.

We have benefited from returns filing management. It is very helpful and frees up our time without concern.
