Overall Satisfaction with Avalara
We use AvaTax to calculate sales tax on several of our websites. We use this inforamtion to pay sales and use tax to our nexus states.
- Calculate sales tax
- Provide complete reporting.
- Easy to use functionality.
- I would love a way to keep track of transaction key changes. Currently, we are having an issuing managing it and the individuals change it are not keeping track. If the change happens can we receive an email with the new key code.
- The ease of AvaTax allows me to quickly make changes on the fly or troubleshoot issues.
- Reporting is very easy.
- The Nexus study has been so beneficial to our team, I am excited to start uploading more data to keep track on the compliance map.

Not involved in that process, have not heard any negative feedback or that any incidents took place.
We have not benefited from these capabilities, but they are in the works. We are currently looking into exemption certificate management. Once we update our ERP system we will be looking into the managed returns filings.
Avalara is doing a lot better in my eyes. Currently we're having to provide location (register agent) address and they do not calculate state we are not exempt in. If we want the service then we will have to add the states on our end and incur addition transaction charges.
