Overall Satisfaction with Avalara

Our retail operations team utilizes Avalara to calculate sales tax for our retail stores located throughout the country. Our distribution and warehousing department also uses it to calculate tax rates for customers we ship to across the country, which can be a real challenge! Overall, it has served us very well in determining taxation.

Avalara is extremely easy to use as it is easily integrated.
  • Professional Services (nexus studies, registrations, backfiling, etc.)
We do not use these features.
Ease of use
Avalara is particularly well-suited to businesses that sell to customers in multiple states or countries. Additionally, it works very well for helping with figuring out taxes within a state when sometimes different counties, cities, or even neighborhoods have different tax rates! It would not be suited well if you have one location and simple taxes.
