Overall Satisfaction with Avalara
The company uses Avatax integrated with invoicing software to calculate sales tax in 20 different states. Avalara also files the returns and makes the prepayments as needed.
- Sales exemptions can be applied quickly allowing us to remove sales tax from orders efficiently.
- The available reports make monthly reconciliation more streamlined.
- Transaction details clearly display exact tax rates per line item.
- Account managers change frequently. More longevity would be helpful.
- Developing training for beginner users that makes no assumptions about the users prior knowledge would be advantageous. I was overwhelmed when I began learning how to use Avatax, do monthly recons, troubleshoot, add exemptions, monitor changing thresholds, how to register, set up returns, etc.
