Basecamp was used to communicate and track a project when we were working with another development team from an outsourced company.

- Easy to collaborate or discuss with teams who are not in the same office
- Free to use
- Getting updates is easy and documented
- The discussion thread can become cluttered
- Unable to sort the discussion thread messages by time, etc.
- Unable to track/link a task with time
- Communication/discussion is well documented so there is no misunderstanding.
- Project stakeholders are in the loop as well.
- All project-related communications and files are in one single place.
Basecamp was easy and simple to setup & use and had a clean interface.
