Overall Satisfaction with BigCommerce
Saucy's World moved to BigCommerce in July 2015 to host our e-commerce website that we use to sell our brand of CAD/CAM designed gymnastics apparel. We needed a robust, feature rich e-commerce website that not only allowed us to sell our products, but to enhance our visibility online via improved SEO - in both cases, it has come through in flying colours making it easy to add/update/feature products and market our brand in a much better way than our previous website back-end supplier
- Add/Update/Feature products are done with ease
- Easy SEO (search engine optimization) of products and their specifications
- Integration to multiple payment gateways for your customers to choose from
- Easy integration to multiple shipping solutions
- Ease of marketing tools to improve conversion to sale
- More improved recognition of Canadian customers
- Improved integration to Facebook (specifically the images)
- Monthly rates for private SSL websites are VERY high (vs. using BigCommerce's general SSL certificate)
- Online Store
- Brick & Mortar Store
- Social Media (e.g. Facebook, Pinterest)
Although we have not started using the plethora of optional tools (some are not designed or allowed for a Canadian audience), we look forward to see what improvements are made to our sales in the coming months.
- Website updating is effortless even without an enhanced technical background (anyone can use it)
- New customers are easily attracted by the beauty of the website (both desktop and mobile) and purchase regularly
- Monthly costs to switch from our previous supplier were on par - we definitely gained more functionality but lost the private SSL benefit
- Improved SEO raising our awareness to our niche clientele
BigCommerce was suggested as an editor's choice and in personally reviewing it (along with several of the other providers), it stood out as an easy-to-use, well thought-out tool to host our product inventory to sell to our customers.
