A great platform with only a few minor issues
Overall Satisfaction with BigCommerce
I use BigCommerce to administer my online retail website.
Pros
- Intuitive software makes it easy to do most work yourself.
- 24/7 support
Cons
- Doing things without taking consideration of their results seems to be an ongoing problem having a Canadian website. Most recently, the first mandated change affecting the checkout process and printing invoices in CAD resulted in the loss of many sales as I hardly had any US orders for several weeks (compared to the normal rate of 60% of all orders). Then BigC changed it back again to what it was before and a few weeks later changed it yet again. At least this time, there were no dire consequences but it would be good if you could give advance notice of these kinds of things or at least a notification that the change has taken place.
- The intuitive software of BigCommerce made it really easy for me to switch over from Interspire that I used to use.
- I really don't see how BigCommerce itself has any impact on attracting more site visitors.
- Nor can I see how it impacts on increased orders & their value.

I don't know what open API's are so I guess I'm not using them. Same goes for existing integrations.
