Overall Satisfaction with Blackbaud eTapestry

Our organization uses eTapestry for donor management, accepting online donations, and collecting membership fees.

Pros

  • System updates.

Cons

  • Functionality is not intuitive or streamlined.
  • Donor-covered fee functionality is not simple to set up. We have found it does not consistently work.
  • The reporting abilities are confusing for newcomers as queries do not always match up 100%. A lot of time is wasted trying to sort through options. Unless a specific class is taken ahead of time, trying to find an answer on how to accomplish a query or general task is extremely frustrating.
  • The User Enablement Fee is ridiculous. Blackbaud is already charging quite a lot for what we get.
  • Online donation processing.
  • Membership fee processing.
  • Positive: we are able to run memberships through a third party VMS.
  • Negative: navigating eTap is time sucking.

It is all mostly annoying, but our hands are somewhat tied to it since a VMS platform we used it integrated with eTapestry.
