Overall Satisfaction with Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT
I have 14 years of experience using Blackbaud Raisers Edge NXT(database view). Our organization migrated to Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT in 2020. However, I still rely heavily on Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT database view as it is much more "user friendly" and its query capabilities are essential for mailings, analyzing/comparing the success of appeals, etc. Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT is used for: Entering Donations and Grant monies income Overview of Donation analytics Tracking Grant requests and reporting; tracking all follow-up with supporters including emailing thank you videos--all through Actions Keeping Notes on Supporters to know them better so that we can personalize our messaging

- Providing giving potential of donors
- Entering Gifts. Database view allows users to close all windows with exception of new gift records so that they can easily view donations (ex: PDF of the check, EFT details) while entering it. With the exception of credit card gifts using Merchant Services, I prefer using the database view for gift entry.
- Entering Gift Appeal Info. Database view uses Appeal ID rather than description so historically we have devised a naming system based on Appeal Id and all my queries use it for analytics and comparisons. I don't want to see "recent" appeals the donor has received after I have "inactivated" an appeal (in database view of course)
- Searches on the Home page of Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT: If there's a way to exclude Inactive records, I haven't discovered it. Database view gives so many more options
- I prefer the Gift record tab in the database view for seeing giving history at a glance. I like the Appeal tab in the database view for the same reason
- Can't operate without Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT database queries for mailings.
- I appreciate there are "security" issues with Microsoft, however, a very customizable should be offered for generating thank you letters our of Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT. We use photos, bullet points, and often more than one typeface in our thank you letters. Not having a robust acknowledgment system has increased my workload as we often have only one or two letters to create at a time and doing a mail merge (annoying) is too time-consuming.

The Director of Development and Communications would be better equipped to answer this question. I personally haven't seen any new/different approaches. I provide information using Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT database view queries to segment donors, provide appeal analysis, etc.
