Overall Satisfaction with BlackLine

We are currently using BlackLine within our Accounting department, mostly for our close processes. The usage for our basic users seems to be relatively straight-forward. It only requires minimal training for our new basic users who use the Reconciliation and Tasks areas. The automated bank reconciliations seem to be a bit off, where the wrong items are cleared occasionally. We look forward to future updates to the software to correct such issues.

There's room for improvement, but I feel like this is a software that could really be beneficial. If they can get it to where they want it to be, if they can truly automate some of the processes while still maintaining accuracy, then this software could be a necessity one day.
They are quick to respond.
It has helped our remote teams to stay on the same page during close. Overall, it makes the close communications more efficient as it keeps statuses in the same place. However, it may not be a great solution for automated reconciliations yet. We do experience several issues where it clears the wrong items in our bank recs, usually an item that was for the same amount as another.
