Overall Satisfaction with BrightEdge
We use BrightEdge for keyword research, competitive analysis, and position tracking. Keyword research is used to optimize our on-site copy; competitive analysis is used to see where we may have room for improvement and position tracking is used to monitor algorithm updates and other general changes, especially during the holidays.
Pros
- Stays up to date on trends like AI.
- Is very user-friendly and easy to manage.
- Provides good data (extensive keyword research, daily rank tracking, etc.)
Cons
- Some keywords tend to be missing from conversational keyword ideas.
- Position tracking doesn't always reflect fluctuations very well.
- The tool is pricey overall.
- We're able to find content opportunities to rank for additional keywords.
- We're able to optimize existing content to rank better/for more keywords.
- We're able to track algorithm updates to see if us or our competitors were affected.
BrightEdge has better reports and customizable charts and is better for larger teams. Semrush, you have to pay per user, but it does give you access to a variety of tools. BrightEdge is more focused on SEO, but the tools they have are great, and some of them are the most accurate and thorough.
