Overall Satisfaction with Brightpearl

Be aware of how you want the system to work for your organisation. Have your questions prepared and answered in full by the Brightpearl consultant to ensure the system will give you the exact outputs you require from a finance and inventory system.
I have had to use Brightpearl support over the last 2 years and I have never had any issues. The queries raised were dealt with effectively and efficiently.
Brightpearl is used across the whole organisation of one of the company's that I am responsible for, which is a telecommunications equipment distributor. It is a very user friendly system and allows the company to seamlessly convert a sales quote to sales order to sales invoice.

Pros

  • It is an extremely user friendly system that took very little time to adapt to
  • Conversion of sales quotes to orders to sales invoices with a few clicks
  • Recording payments to suppliers and from customers is very simple

Cons

  • Reversing journals
  • Multi currency bank accounts and postings
  • An additional field on products for serial numbers
  • Better customer service
I have used many other systems and Brightpearl is a simple to use system. It does lack some of the more sophisticated elements of other systems I have used - reversing journals, multi currency banks but overall the system is does what we need it to do.
As mentioned before the fact that there is no field for serial numbers on our products means that we need to keep an additional manual report as part of our stock reconciliation process.
