Overall Satisfaction with Brightpearl

I would strongly recommend that users make a thorough review of the basic and advanced instructional videos prior to implementing Brightpearl.

I was not involved in the setup, but experienced a great deal of confusion in handling in progress orders that were transferred from our old system into Brightpearl.
The information provided by customer support is helpful but the message format itself is unnecessarily repetitive and confusing.
Brightpearl is integral to many facets of our operation: sales, inventory, marketing and financial records. The main reason we selected Brightpearl is due to the ability to have one program to manage all these functions.
  • The "Tag" function allows sorting to determine customer status and statistics for routine reporting and market analysis.
  • Considerable flexibility is demonstrated with the column configuration options when reviewing client and sales data.
  • The Custom Fields tab allows us to gather and asses very specific data for client profiles and sales orders.
  • One feature which is not yet functioning is the calendar integration which would provide reminders of scheduled events at the scheduled time.
  • The manner in which colleagues from one company are associated is awkward at best.
  • If an error is made during processing of vendor invoices, it cannot be modified. This has resulted in convoluted "work arounds."
  • Searching products is very challenging and time consuming - room for improvement here!
  • One positive impact is the ability to spot trends pertaining to shipping costs and modify our procedures accordingly.
  • Fishbowl Warehouse (FBW)
Key features were client-centric information organization and the ability to utilize the customer contacts to efficiently perform marketing tasks.
Brightpearl has provided our architectural material supply company the ability to successfully combine several operational functions that previously relied upon separate, non-compatible applications. Sales representatives are able to provide accurate information to clients on the phone with accurate product details and real time inventory information.

I doubt this type of application would lend itself to a project based service industry, such as architecture or engineering firms.
