Overall Satisfaction with Broadvoice

We use Broadvoice for the phone system at our church. We have people in different offices, each with their own extension. We like the auto-attendant feature to route calls to the appropriate person after hours. We also like the b-hive mobile app where the extension can ring to a person's personal cell phone. The voicemail option to email individuals is also an option that we use.

Pros

  • Auto-attendant to route calls to the correct person, even with specific messages for each option.
  • Voicemail to text through email
  • Reliability - the phone system is rarely down

Cons

  • We find the "holiday" office hours to be a little cumbersome when we are only closed for part of the day. This could definitely just be a training problem with our staff.
  • When we change a person's name in the admin site, it does not always update on the phone's address book.
  • As mentioned, our phone system is not too complicated. I think we are paying slightly less than our previous vendor costs about 5 years ago when we switched. But the value is about the same.
Broadvoice's admin site is easy to use. The phones themselves are pretty straightforward. There are few glitches, such as when a call rings on the mobile app, it lists the wrong person's name with the wrong extension. But overall, it has been very simple to use. It is easy to update when a change is made. The things I find aren't easy to use are probably just a matter of us not knowing how to use them, such as we haven't been trained on it.

Would you buy Broadvoice | GoContact again?

Yes

Our phone use is not too complicated - a receptionist answers the phone during office hours and directs phone calls. After hours, the auto attendant routes calls. For our set-up, we have no issues with Broadvoice. Everything runs smoothly, the admin site is fairly easy to use, there are plenty of training videos available for help.
