Overall Satisfaction with BrowserStack
I have been using BrowserStack for the past 3 years. I used it in my previous workplace as well as continue to use it in the current one. I have been a user of all of its product offerings. I have used it for both manual and automation testing. Maintaining an inventory of physical devices is an impossible task. BrowserStack enables the team to gain access to all kinds of browsers and devices. Running automated tests in remote infrastructure provided by BrowserStack is very easy. I use BrowserStack's Percy for visual regression testing to identify unexpected visual changes in the UI.
- Parallel test execution: I have worked on products with parallel test executions running for days per build. BrowserStack's infrastructure was able to run them reliably. I liked that the test runs are recorded. We view the recordings to spot the application defects.
- Visual regression testing: one of the challenges for my team was to spot unexpected visual changes in the application. We were looking for a product to enable us with the identification and management of visual regression tests. BrowserStack's Percy provided us with a collaborative cloud-based solution.
- Cross platform manual testing: Maintaining physical devices for QA purposes is impractical for remote teams. BrowserStack has provided us a large number of cross-platform devices at fraction of the cost.
- Percy: It is challenging to set-up. The process is not QA friendly.
- Tracking the status of feature requests is not provided by BrowserStack. They should provide an ETA or future possibilities of implementation.
- Visual regression testing
- Availability of latest OSs and devices
- It has been helping us to avoid financial losses by helping us detect defects before deploying to production.
- It helps to maintain proper product quality, thus keeping the customers happy.
