Overall Satisfaction with BrowserStack

My company creates web assets such as landing pages with lead collection forms. We implemented a mobile first business model to ensure that we considered the actual ways that users access sites and forms. We utilize BrowserStack as a daily and significant technology for testers across the business.

Pros

  • Robust suite of devices to test on

  • Cloud devices may lag at times
  • Access to newest devices
  • Access to various models of devices that would cover the vast number of devices of various partners are potentially reviewing their products from.
  • Ease of use - teams are able to provide vividly detailed screenshots of errors and recreate reported defects with ease.
  • Expanding testing capabilities - manual testers were utilizing personal devices and responsive browsers for testing but would hit testing limits with which defects could be replicated. They are now able to test with the confidence that they can replicate all reported defects.
In the nearly 8 years of experience utilizing BrowserStack, teams have not reported product outages that prevented them from completing testing. This has allowed our business to trust the product. Since the date we purchased our enterprise account, we have found no need to search for alternatives.
It has allowed various departments to engage in testing for themselves. Stakeholders have access to accounts where they can review a defect they receive from a partner before sending to our team for resolution. This has decreased the number of requests that come in as many of them are caching issues or specific to outdated browsers or devices no longer supported. This has put some control back into the hands of those who submit requests to the team.

BrowserStack has delivered a standard of quality that exceeded the competitors that were tested when making a decision on whether to purchase an enterprise account. The user interface is simple enough that non-engineer manual testers can utilize its capabilities with ease but also robust enough that our automation engineers can utilize it. Adding users to teams in the Enterprise account is simple and users in my subset of teams have not reported any outages or issues that would prevent them from moving forward with test.
