Overall Satisfaction with BrowserStack

I use BrowserStack for testing our web application utilizing BrowserStack's various web browsers and mobile. I also utilize the AI low code automation tool to automate certain flows for our web application. In that low code automation tool suite I also utilize BrowserStack's builds to test our web app at certain day/hours of the week ensuring that the system is functioning as intended free of bugs.

Pros

  • Easy UI for low code automation
  • Easy to build test cases and record and play function
  • The automations ability to run tests at certain hours/days of the week

Cons

  • Would like the ability for headless testing to speed up tests
  • Laggy playback during record and play and often the highlighted part lags from what it is intending to show/test
  • AI assist is a hit or miss
  • Low code automation
  • Mobile and web browser testing
  • Automated builds on set days/hours
  • Housing test cases
  • Positive- low code automation has spotted some bugs which have resulted in happy customers
  • Negative- full confidence in low code automation not there yet, due to issues explained
  • Positive- love the different mobiles and browsers to be able to test
No automation was in place that was the main goal for my organization was to add some form of automation.
  • Live
  • App Live
  • Automate
  • Test Management
All of these products have enable my organization to automate our web application, reduce the number of bugs and to have an organized form of test cases and builds. Being able to access web browsers and different mobiles to test our web app was huge as we are now able to see the behaviors on different systems and browsers.
I chose BrowserStack over Playwright because it was far more simpler to test test cases, builds were already set up and was just right because our web application was not as complex as others. We also used it because of the text and image validation which is what we really needed it for.

Do you think BrowserStack delivers good value for the price?

No

Are you happy with BrowserStack's feature set?

Yes

Did BrowserStack live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of BrowserStack go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy BrowserStack again?

Yes

I think on web applications that aren't too complex is where BrowserStack thrives, now I haven't fully utilized the full capabilities of BrowserStack but the functions of mobile testing is awesome albeit sometimes a little bit slow but gets the job done and acts like the actual mobile device itself. Scenarios where it follows a oneway workflow does wonders.
