Overall Satisfaction with Canto

We have different brands with their own asset management systems and approaches across the world. Canto was brought in to address this discrepency and make sure everyone had access to the same materials in a consistent channel, and with a consistent experience. It is used by marketing, sales, account management, training, customer service and research teams.
  • Consistent user experience
  • Allows for comprehensive tagging on uploads
  • Great customer service to help with a range of questions
  • You get out a lot of what you put in, so it's labour intensive to see value
  • It has some limitations using workspaces or portals for sharing information that aren't assets
  • The licencing plans could be a bit more flexible
  • Portals for consistency of sharing
  • Tagging so resources can be found
  • User management so we can see who is doing what
  • It's hard to tell because the admins have spent heaps of time getting it to work
  • It hasn't replaced any one solution so in that respect it's improved consistency
  • We do have to keep buying users and admins which is annoying
They're great at sorting out problems and finding solutions but slow to respond by email

It's a competent asset management system, it doesn't do anything flashy and isn't offering a lot of smart solutions to any asset management problems. It would be nice if it could take some of the burden of uploading and tagging content off the user - and for set up it's a long road before you're in a place that is satisfactory.
