Overall Satisfaction with Ceridian Dayforce

Our company uses Dayforce for timekeeping and payroll processing. The entire organization uses the timekeeping aspect while only the payroll team uses the payroll module. Our payroll is very complex and Dayforce has done a good job on being able to accommodate our different/unique pay structures. Overall, Dayforce support has been able to address our issues as they come up.
  • Accommodating complex payrolls.
  • Customer service in urgent cases.
  • Contact for our Customer Success Manager is readily available.
  • Have more solutions that are corrected by customer support.
  • Fewer cases being moved to Professional Services.
  • The turnaround time with tax issues should be sped up.
  • Turnaround time for Professional Services should be quicker.
  • Reduction of paperwork by using timekeeping.
  • Available reports help with research.
  • GL interface has helped with man-hour reduction in preparing.
Dayforce helps us maintain compliance with our state tax withholdings. It also has helped us in developing a unique policy in which it helps us with our Overtime calculation. Through their user-friendly ad hoc reporting features it has helped in determining which employees are eligible for benefits and PTO accruals.
In regards to this, our organization does not use this feature.
Having time and payroll in the same application has helped immensely. No more need to create a load to pay transfer time from one vendor to processing payroll in another. This has reduced labor hours and has made the processing of the payroll a lot more smooth. Before we had this integrated, we were having to reconcile hours in one system and reconcile to the register because there is that level of uncertainty and risk in making sure that each employee is paid their time accurately. There is no need to do that any further when it’s feeding over. There is more trust in the system now.
Ceridian is well suited for hands-on staff that understand a degree of programming. Personally, for me, I am able to follow sequences and understand and I like that. For members of my staff, it proves to be more difficult. Specifically, understanding our HR Import process and how to decode errors is something that I actually enjoy. However, I can see this as being a downside. I understand that Ceridian teaches us to use their system to control our environment but for others that have been exposed to other payroll processing software, it may not be as user-friendly.
