Overall Satisfaction with Cisco 4000 Series Integrated Services Routers (ISR 4000)

We use it throughout the organization as our call-in and -out tool with the connection that exists with the telephone service provider.

Pros

  • Works as SRST, CUBE, CME
  • Integrated with voice services

Cons

  • The resources of PDVM have to be dedicated for E1 and separately for DSPs--that could get better.
  • Same bugs as iOS
  • Return on investment is greater than with other equipment because the impact is minimal on network service performance.
We have always used Cisco for all our infrastructure and for our customers. We know the quality and efficiency that Cisco equipment offers us.
The problems we have are minimal in software and hardware.
